Terms of Service — quickfilezap

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of quickfilezap.com and its file conversion services (the "Service"), operated by StyleStripe LLC, a Connecticut limited liability company ("StyleStripe," "we," "us," or "our"). By creating an account, uploading a file, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service

quickfilezap converts documents and images between common file formats (including PDF, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and image formats) using self-hosted conversion software. The Service is offered under three plans:

Free — small files, a limited number of conversions per day, not saved to an account.
Single-use — a one-time paid conversion of a larger file, saved to your account for a limited period.
Pro — a paid subscription for unlimited conversions, larger file sizes, and a persistent library.

Current limits, prices, and features for each plan are described on our Pricing page and may change from time to time as described in Section 12.

2. Accounts

Some features require an account, created via Google sign-in. You must provide accurate information and are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction, to create an account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

3. Conversion Accuracy — Please Read

File conversion is not an exact science. Formatting, layout, fonts, tables, images, and other elements may shift, be simplified, or be lost entirely during conversion, particularly for complex documents, scanned or image-only PDFs, and less common file structures. The Service does not perform optical character recognition (OCR) — text inside scanned images will not be extracted. We do not guarantee that converted files will be identical to, or a complete or accurate representation of, the original file. You are solely responsible for reviewing every converted file before relying on it for any purpose, and for keeping your own backup of original files.

4. Fees, Billing & Cancellation

Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. We do not store your card details. Single-use conversions are billed once, at the time of purchase. Pro subscriptions bill automatically on a recurring basis (monthly or annual, as selected) until cancelled. You can cancel a Pro subscription at any time from your account's billing portal; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and no partial refunds are issued for unused time. Except where required by law, all fees are non-refundable.

5. File Storage & Deletion

Uploaded and converted files are retained according to your plan at the time of conversion:

Free conversions are permanently deleted from our servers approximately one hour after conversion.
Single-use conversions are retained for 30 days, after which they expire and are permanently deleted.
Pro conversions are retained for as long as your subscription remains active. If your subscription ends, files are deleted after a grace period.

Deletion is permanent and files cannot be recovered afterward. We are not responsible for any loss of files that occurs once a retention period has elapsed or an account is deleted.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

Upload or convert content that is illegal, infringes another party's intellectual property rights, or that you do not have the right to process;
Upload malware, viruses, or other harmful code;
Attempt to circumvent file size limits, rate limits, or daily usage limits (including through multiple accounts or devices);
Interfere with, disrupt, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the Service or its infrastructure; or
Use automated means (bots, scrapers) to access the Service outside of its intended use.

We may suspend or terminate access for any violation of this section, with or without notice.

7. Ownership & License

You retain all rights to the files you upload and the converted files you receive. You grant us a limited license to store and process your files solely to provide the conversion service to you. We retain all rights to the Service itself, including its software, design, and branding.

8. Third-Party Services

The Service uses Google (for sign-in) and Stripe (for payment processing); your use of those features is also subject to Google's and Stripe's own terms and privacy policies. File conversion is performed using software we run and host ourselves — we do not send your files to any third-party conversion API.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE, OR THAT CONVERSION RESULTS WILL MEET YOUR EXPECTATIONS.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, STYLESTRIPE LLC SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, FILES, PROFITS, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE, OR (B) $50 USD.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold StyleStripe LLC harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the Service, the files you upload, or your violation of these Terms.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Connecticut, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Connecticut, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.

14. General

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full effect. Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of it. These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and StyleStripe LLC regarding the Service.
